Croatia bought 12 German PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer. Howitzers were “weak spot” of Croatian army, because Croat forces never had these kind of weapon. These howitzers are only 10 years old, and they are bought under very reasonable price. New howitzer is worth around 10 mil Euros, but we menaged to bought them with price of 3.5 mil Euros per unit. Germany is cutting down it`s own forces so these units aren`t broken or obsolete. Croatia is the fifth country in the world who use this modern and more then good self-propelled howitzer.

Looking very powerful. Being able to fire away from 40-60km distance is very dangerous strategical weapon.December 6, 2014 at 4:05 pm #403357
@KnezIvan are you guys going to war or something?December 6, 2014 at 10:16 pm #417126
@Kat hope not. But maybe our army knows something that we don`t hehe Croatian army is going to modernize. This was a plan for a long time ago. I`m just glad that they are doing something usefull in that path of modernization. Beside this they want to have 15 000 soldiers, active, mobile, top of the tops. And 22 000 reserves, educated in combat skills. Old uniforms are abolished, and one uniqe is intruduced for all classes of army. In near future Croat soldier is going to be all dressed in homemade uniform (modern design), he/she is going to have a homemade pistol HS and new assault rifle VHS-2 (new model).
Maybe we are starting a warDecember 7, 2014 at 5:53 pm #403331
