Hey guys! This video really warms my heart, it's an hour-long about the strong Serbian community in Chicago which has lasted now over 100 years!!

They stick together, sing together and love one another – it's an example of how we all should be. These people in the video are mostly 2nd generation Serb-Americans, and it's in 1978.

The Serb Community of Chicago began in the 1900's when coal miners and railroad workers from the regions of Krajina and Herzegovina settled in the area and began mining. Then the second wave of immigration came from the Serb regions again after World War 2, when the Chetniks who were persecuted by the communist authorities sought refuge in Chicago.

Long history there and awesome that they actually have a private Serbian school in Chicago too.
