Happy Independence day to all Ukrainians.  I have always respected the dedication to their national identity and preservation of culture.  I wish my mom dragged me to language classes on the weekends because I would be fluent in a Slavic language.  Ukraine has suffered so much this century, from war, genocide and nuclear poisoning.  Let's hope the next hundred are better.

Quite a blue and gold day here.  Nice to know we will keep. Sharing information.  I figuredout how much my brethren here have taught me because the other history teachers at my school come to me with questions on all Slavic and eastern European issues.  My coworkers all had a strong USSR course of studies when they were in university, but very limited on other Slavic cultures.  So, thanks for all the knowledge guys and girls
