I found out that I am 1/16 Czech and my ancestor’s last name was ‘Tuga’, is it a Czech surname or not?

    Hello
these days surname Tuga doesn’t exist in Czech

Is there a chance that your “Tuga” ancestor was female? In that situation I can imagine that her surname was Tuhá, feminine variation of surname Tuhý (which is not so common here but exist). Tuhá could be transcripted to Tuga as czech pronunciation of H is same as some languages G.

So what do you think? It says online that it’s Spanish/Portuguese but I think that’s bs.
