    Any fans here?

Master's Hammer, along with Hungary's Tormentor was the best ancient Black metal band of all time from Eastern Europe, Czech Republic's answer to the mighty Bathory. Their demos from the late 80s, their debut album Ritual from 1991 and their second The Jilemnice Occultist from 1992 are total classics of the genre, but all their stuff is good.

This band rules indeed! Czechs had some really influential bands in 80's, like Master's Hammer, Root and Törr, which are now so underrated, or not even mentioned, yet had huge impact on BM. Their videos are REALLZY cheesy though. ;D

Other early BM from Eastern Europe that were great were Hungary's Tormentor (which you mentioned) and Poland's Kat (not really BM in truest sense, but if Venom, Hellhammer, Sodom, Bulldozer and Merciful Fate are considered BM, then so should Kat).

Yes, Root and Torr were great, also from Poland old Imperator was sick.

Master's Hammer and Tormentor had a real impact on Norwegian black metal with bands like Mayhem and Emperor.

Master's Hammer indeed is great. Concerning old Czech Black Metal I also love Crux, anyone here who knows them?

I have nothing but love and respect for oldschool czech metal scene, which generated some crazy bands.
Ritual from Master's Hammer is one of my favorite albums. True masterpiece.

Tudor should be mentioned here also.
