The president of Netherlands’s Party for Freedom (PVV) has told the German magazine Der Spiegel that he would oppose further European Union enlargement and would vote against Croatia's accession.
The far-right leader Geert Wilders said that his party would vote against any future candidate states be they Muslim or Christian.
"My party rejects any form of European Union expansion. We will vote against all candidates, including Croatia. The government will have to look for a majority on these issues elsewhere."
The right-wing populist’s platform is largely based on anti-immigrant and anti-Islamic sentiment. He is currently preparing for a trial, accused of having spread racial and religious hatred.
Wilder’s party won 15.5 per cent of the votes in 2009 and holds 24 out 150 parliamentary seats, the daily Vecernji List writes.November 12, 2010 at 9:02 am #349919

He is not against Croatia, if he could guarantee he would turn back the 2008 and 2004 New members.
There's no point in getting emotional about articles like this, the Dutch nationalists actually are very ok on Croatia, and they did a compilation against turkey being in EU, and also about Cyprus – that it is not Turkish.
The same like the English Defence League, gay-rights is not a problem for culture survival…. unless people start getting scared that because they show some gay on TV that all they children will be gay and thus no more European children
…. but that is just paranoia.
