Funny, we do the same on Sveti Ivan.
Jumping three times over fire, singing “od ivane do ivane, gre gre gre”, asking Sveti Ivan to protect arms and legs from breaking.
Being a Dutchman living here I do not know every detail, so this is it, Pozdravi, Pim.

is there some place where I could read more about this custom? All I can find it’s last sunday before easter fast, which means 0 to me, I’ve been known to walk into empty office on church holidays, and seeing how it’s clearly pagan in nature, they certainly had other way of deciding when it happens, before advent of god of globalization? And anyway, what is the point of it, is it chasing evil spirits away, or what?
