To coincide with the signing of the EU accession treaty by Croatia in December of this year, the Polish Presidency is starting an unusual project – a recording of a welcome speech open to everyone's participation.

The name of the project – "Dobrodošli – Poland welcomes Croatia" – comes from a Croatian word for welcome, or a combination of "good" and "arrive".

The project calls on all who want to participate to record a short film on their phone or camera, expressing in a few words what they would like to pass on to the citizens of the country which is embarking on the same road Poland took a few years ago, the official Polish Presidency website states.

The collected films will be put together into one speech, a symbolic present from the Polish Presidency for Croatia. The film will also be published on the official portal http://www.pl2011.eu as well as on the social
