Polish prosecutors say they have foiled a planned terror attack against the president, cabinet ministers and MPs.
A 45-year-old academic researcher has been arrested on suspicion of planning to detonate four tonnes of explosives in a vehicle at the parliament building during a budget debate, they say. He has been charged with planning a terrorist attack and faces up to five years in prison if convicted. Two other men were arrested for possessing illegal firearms.
The Polish citizen who has been arrested is accused of assembling a small arsenal of explosive material, weapons and remote-controlled detonators, and attempting to recruit others to his cause. The suspect, who has not been identified by name, was building bombs himself and also had detonators, said prosecutor Mariusz Krasoń. He has confessed in part to the suspicions against him, including planning an assassination of the state leaders, Mr Krasoń added.
The officials broadcast videos taken from the suspect's home, which they said showed test explosions he had carried out. They said the man, an explosives expert who worked at Kraków's Agricultural University, did not belong to any political group.
The man's motives were described however as "nationalistic, xenophobic and anti-Semitic" in character.

To be honest I am thinking same everyday but I have no knowledge neither will to do it.November 20, 2012 at 4:47 pm #404173
IMHO: this is an provocation. Fake. All to escalate oppression of those accused to be "nationalists". Simple trick. From where 4 TONS of explosives? he produced it at home? Where he kept it? In the basement? Suspicious matter related to the recent march of patriots.November 20, 2012 at 5:05 pm #404174
lol another conspiracy theorist. any proof for your theory?
he was assembling small amounts, he only planned to use 4 tonnes. he didnt have those 4 tonnes yet (apparently).
its not hard to produce it for an explosives expert working at uni.November 20, 2012 at 6:19 pm #404175
Conspiracy or not it smells:
Podczas przeszukania prócz materiałów wybuchowych (trotyl, proch, heksogen) i zapalników znaleziono kilkanaście sztuk nielegalnej broni palnej i ponad 1100 sztuk amunicji.
A lot of stuff he has Not too much as for mere scientist?November 20, 2012 at 7:09 pm #404176
if it didnt smell, it would be harder to catch him and prosecute…November 20, 2012 at 7:49 pm #404177
Ok, as you can read he was denounced by his wife – smelly. Video shots – smelly. Amount (and type) of stuff found – smelly. Connection with Bravick cause – smelly. A great success of special forces also smelly. Government need enemies of the state and great success to cover some kinky votes… like those of GMO (voted when whole Poland was informed about street riots during 11.11).
I agree, it's sick situation when you don't trust your government. But government don't give you any reasons to trust them.November 20, 2012 at 7:55 pm #404178

What a wife will sell her husband? Nope, conspiracy theories aren't cool… they are just scary. Reality isn't that simple.November 20, 2012 at 10:41 pm #404181
