In some countries only hunting rifles can be legally purchased and registered. . In Belarus the ownership of most guns including traumatic guns are
illegal. Exception is hunting rifles that need to be held in
strongboxes, and signaling guns used in
    sports activities.

How much is too much? For example Russian military has 16 million guns in warehouses, most of which are AK-47 of various modifications. AK-74, AKs made in the 90s. That’s too much. Many were made during cold war era. Now, Russians are scratching their heads about what to do with them as Russian military adopts AK-12 and AK-15. Even utilisation of so many guns is expensive.
