I think it is not quite correct to call some of the Gods more "favourite" than others. Slavic Gods and Goddesses are personifications of the Elements, without any of them there would be no Balance. And it is necessary to be open for acceptance of all sides of  Being. But I voted for Marena (Morana, Mara), for the same reason. Without death there is no life, without winter there would be no awakening of nature in the spring.

Actually I was thinking about formulation of that question, but then I found poll Your favourite Gof from Slavic Pantheon?, so I though I can do that.
In Slavic mythology everything had to be in harmony. I even read a book about that. For example, the most important element for Slavs was probably water, but then author said that they were worship also all other elements, because of maitaining of harmony.
But I think I can say this – we're not ancient Slavs anymore. So I think we can have our favourite god(dess) ;) Haha.

I agree that we *shouldn't* have favorites, but there is generally one deity that resonates with us more than others. For me personally, I always seem to be attracted to Lada most. But Morana is right there with her. I can't vote yet. Still need to think. :)

Interesting that all of the goddesses by this one artist are depicted as being blonde… I rarely see that. Generally Lada is always blonde as she is actually said to have blonde hair by the lore I've read. But the others are always varying in color. I wonder why all blonde…

I am not sure why they are all blond. My guess it's because the artist associates blondism with purity.

Well except Morena almost on all pics of Slavic goddesses I ever saw they were blond.
I agree with your theory blond = pure.

I found some pics of Morena's by artists from DeviantArt. I also wrote their nationalities just for interest ^^

Most painters paint female deities blond except for Morana/Morena as pointed out DokuDoki. Morena is the goddess of death burned during spring equinox to represent the end of winter.
