I have heard that there exist Russians with Chinese citizenship. Is it true? These people came from waves of migration over the years. The first notable ones arrived in the 17th century and stayed on, later marrying with the Chinese. Others came and settled in Xinjiang and Manchuria for various reasons over the years. Many also went to China because of the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917.

Wikipedia says that today there are over fifteen thousand Russians with Chinese citizenship. Should we believe this figure? To me it is surprising to see Russian citizens of China.

Edit: Soon I will edit here a documentary on the Russians living in Xinjiang.

Fifteen thousand is nothing when it comes to the overall population of China, so it doesn't surprise me at all.
