    The Cathedral (2002)

"The Cathedral" is a short 7 minutes animated film by Tomek Baginski, based on a short story by Jacek Dukaj. The film won the Best Animated Short – Siggraph 2002 at the world's largest fair for computer graphics and special effects that took place in 2002 in San Antonio in the United States.

In the jury verdict of Siggraphu 2002 we read: "This work has been selected unanimously by the Computer Animation Festival jury as the best in the category of Best Animated Short. Extremely rich visualization gained in “The Cathedral" has become a temptation for the CAF jury. The film was viewed repeatedly, and each charmed accuracy of performance together. It is a beautiful animation – representing the outstanding work we receive from the small but highly creative production companies in the country and overseas. "The Cathedral" is among the best works in this category of film, which allowed for applying and obtaining an Academy Award nomination for an Oscar in the category of Short Films – Animation (Animated Short Film).

This is the story of the pilgrim who comes to the Cathedral located at the edge of the known world. He wants answers. Finds peace.

    The Witcher (2007)

The Witcher, or Polish: Wiedźmin, by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski is a cult series of fantasy short stories (collected in two books, except for two stories) and five novels about the witcher Geralt of Rivia. In Sapkowski's books, witchers are monster-hunters who receive special training and have their bodies modified at an early age to provide them with supernatural abilities so they can battle extremely dangerous monsters and survive. The books have been adapted into a movie and television series, a video game series, and a graphic novel series. The novel series (excluding the short stories) is also called the Witcher Saga (Polish: Saga o Wiedźminie) or the Blood of the Elves Saga. The Witcher short stories and novels have been translated into several languages.

    The Kinematograph (2010)

The story is about 19th-century inventor who is close to perfecting motion pictures but doesn't want to reveal his invention to the public until he can show films with sound and color.

The movie seems to refer to Kazimierz Prószyński, Polish inventor active in the field of cinema. He patented his first film camera, called Pleograph before the Lumière brothers, and later went on to improve the cinema projector for the Gaumont company, as well as invent the widely used hand-held Aeroscope camera. He died in the German concentration camp of Mauthausen in spring of 1945, as the prisoner number 129957, shortly before liberation. He is unknown now.

    Hardkore 44 (2012)

The film will be the debut feature from Platige Image, and director Tomek Baginski. Co-produced by the Warsaw Uprising Museum it will be a sci-fi re-imagining of the events of the Warsaw Uprising in World War II and, if the concept art is anything to judge by, it will have healthy steampunk overtones. Surprisingly, given that Platige's most public work – and all of their short films – revolve around their CGI animation, this will be a dominantly live action feature with heavy CG special effects components. And if you're worried about how they can handle this approach, don't be. Though it doesn't get as much press as their animation, Platige also does a ton of digital effects work both in the world of commercials and feature films – they were the effects house primarily responsible for Lars Von Trier's Antichrist – and their work is stellar.

Uh… this basically looks like 300, but with demon Nazis instead of demon Persians.

However, The Witcher looks simply badass! I really dig that wolf head logo. Wilkolak… might I suggest a new avatar for you? :P
