    If that is true, they are created after 1942, but I don't know when exactly.

    The pictures look like they were from WW2. When I looked at the other comments from the link, it seems like other people had the same question as me and someone thought they looked like the work of the Slovenian artist Božidar Jakac. Some also thought that these were known war heroes. I wonder if the carvings are even real since no information can be found about this.

    The lack of information is strange indeed.
    They look quite real. Hope you know someone from this area that knows more.
