Russia – Last Saturday local authorities in Russia said that 21 year old Ruslan Sokolovsky was arrested and accused for inciting hatred towards religious feelings of other people. Ruslan Sokolovsky was arrested after his video was viewed over million times, as this young Vlogger talks about how newspapers in Russia inform that people playing Pokemon Go in Churches will be arrested.

He obviously found out that this news is true:

I decided to catch a few Pokemon in church because, why not? I believe it is safe and legal. Let’s go – said Sokolowski at the beginning of the video.

Today thanks to the video above Ruslan is detained for two months while he is waiting for a sentence that could be as much as five years in prison.

It should be noted that these are the same strict measures that ‘Pussy Riot’ members were awarded with back in 2012.

Now this news about his arrest was wide-spread across Russia and started many reactions. Some people called for his arrest, some compared him to Charlie Hebdo ‘humor’, while some like Yekaterinburg mayor said that you can’t arrest someone for ‘idiocy’. Either way, one more reason to be careful while playing Pokemon Go, you don’t want to hurt someones feelings!
