Svetlana Erygina from Novosibirsk shot a cycle of photographs for Halloween, the main character of which was Pumpkin – a man with a pumpkin instead of a head. According to Svetlana, she had long wanted to “combine Halloween’s bleak aesthetics with the grim aesthetics of Russian reality”. The photo shoot went well and she didn’t notice any aggression from people.
The model for the shoot was a friend of the photographer. For six hours, they walked around Novosibirsk, rode public transport, went into dineries and to the market.
