Nostalgic Russian Photos Set Right After the Collapse of Communism

Russia – These photos have suddenly appeared in Photowire AFP, they were made by a French photographer Jean-Paul Guilloteau that visited Russia right after the collapse of USSR. In most Russians these shots will cause nostalgic feelings, of one time and event that shook the world. These photos show the Russian country that was already done with Communism but at that point Russia still didn’t know which way exactly should they go on next.

Streets have no foreign cars yet, people are simply dressed, but most men wear denim jackets which had already started to find their way from abroad and were also produced locally by the first legal workshops. Source: rusrep.ru
