The Slavic, Germanic, Romance, and Hungarian languages meet here in Slovenia due to various historical influences however population is still majority Slovenian and as such Slavic. Slovenians resemble mostly northern Croats, Hungarians, Slovaks, eastern Italians and Austrians, again mostly due to proximity with those populations.
