Pripyat the center of “Adventurist Tourism” where only brave survive

If your life is boring and you need adventure, hey you can always go there

Pripyat or Pripiat is becoming a popular tourist destination for people that like adrenaline, adventures and scary tourism. Pripyat is an abandoned city that is located in the northern Ukraine, near the border with Belarus. Many people enjoy abandoned places in Eastern Slavic Europe because of poular games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and movies with similar post-apocaliptic background.

The town is named after the nearby Pripyat River, and it was founded on 4 February 1970, as the ninth nuclear city in the USSR, more know in world for the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Via Alex

Before the Power Plant disaster town even had a population of almost 50,000 people, however after the Chernobyl disaster on 26 April 1986 citiy was being evacuated and is like frozen in time ever since.


Today Pripyat is administered from Kiev and has a special statues within the Ukrainan Kiev oblast. Town is also supervised by Ukraine’s Ministry of Emergencies, which manages activities for the entire Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.


All this radioactivity, danger of being in a old dangerous place hasn’t stopped our adveturist bloggers to sneak inside the city and take pictures of it.
