A former marketing student, her first breakthrough in modeling happened in 2004, when she won the title of Miss Chelyabinsk. Soon afterwards, she was recruited by modeling agencies in Moscow and Milan, and her career started to flourish. Securing premium modeling contracts such as those for Intimissimi, Swimsuit Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret, Shayk also raised her profile by dating Cristiano Ronaldo. Following years were prosperous for Shayk, as she appeared on the covers of Vogue, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, and was even a placard bearer for Russia at the opening ceremony of 2014 Winter Olympics. Wearing luxurious Zuhair Murad couture, Karvina native is a vision in her elegant, yet simple ensembles. Discovered on the streets of Prague by a fashion scout, Nemcova made her first step towards modeling by entering Elite Model Look competition in 1995. Since then, her fashion career went from strenght to strenght, as she modeled for Victoria’s Secret, Bulgari, Max Factor, Schwartzkopf, Cartier and many other brands, and graced the covers of Elle, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar and Marie Claire. Suffering a broken pelvis, Nemcova survived by hanging on to a palm tree for eight hours before she was taken to hospital by rescue services. However, her fiancee wasn’t as fortunate, as he died in the tsunami of drowning.
