Modern people have different attitudes to Soviet interiors: the older generation often nostalgic for their youth, and therefore carefully preserves every thing, youth, on the contrary, sometimes are not averse to making overhaul repairs. It is likely that in the next 10-20 years such apartments, still furnished in the Soviet style, will become less and less until they finally disappear under the pressure of “European-quality repairs”. According to the organizers of the study “Morphology of the Soviet apartment”, this process is negative, as it illustrates the breakdown of relations between generations, the loss of ties.
