Soviet control stations looked like ‘Star Trek’ filming sets, they were awesome

SOVIET CONTROL STATIONS LOOK LIKE SOMETHING STRAIGHT OUT OF STAR TREK

Do you feel like looking some vintage sci-fi imagery? Yes? Well you are in the right place. Some good boys at the sobadsogood made a vintage collection of Soviet control rooms that look like they came out of Star Trek episodes. You remember those rooms on Voyager with massive computers, vintage looking chairs, red phones and big buttons? Well back in the day USSR had massive control rooms as central brains of nuclear power plants, the so called control towers. At the time these rooms were the best technological advancements in the world.

If you were an employee here you would spend your days there monitoring and giving feedback on crucial nuclear power plant tasks to keep the power generation operational. Even thought these are all vintage images and this technology is outdated today, they are still still strikingly aesthetic. The flashing lights and futuristic furniture are everything you could hope for in a Soviet control station. h/t:(sobadsogood, ufunk)
